Lead protects the points where roof surfaces meet walls, chimneys and changes in direction. Correct sizing, laps and fixing allow it to move naturally while directing water safely away from the building.

Every quotation is based on the property, access and condition found. We do not use generic online prices because the same visible symptom can have several causes.

Precision at vulnerable junctions
Roof junctions experience concentrated water flow and movement between different materials. Poorly formed flashings, short laps or excessive sealant can fail early. Traditional detailing and careful dressing provide a far more dependable result.
Repairing failed flashing
Staining beside a chimney or wall abutment can point to split, lifted or badly chased lead. We check the surrounding masonry and coverings too, because water can enter through more than one route.
Work that complements the roof
Neat leadwork should protect the building without dominating it. We form details to suit the roof covering and the shape of the junction, whether on a slate terrace, tiled extension or stone property.

Questions, answered
Still unsure? Call and describe what you can see. We are happy to point you in the right direction.
Can old lead flashing be repaired?
Sometimes. Small defects may be repairable, but fatigued, undersized or badly installed lead is often better replaced.
Do you use sealant instead of lead?
Sealants have limited supporting uses, but they are not a substitute for correctly designed flashing at major roof junctions.
Do you repair roof valleys?
Yes. We assess valleys, their lining and adjacent coverings as part of our leadwork and roof repair services.
Need a roofer you can speak to directly?
Call Kings Roofing or send the job details online. We’ll give practical advice and arrange an inspection where required.
